Santa Ana, CA (March 24, 2024) – The Santa Ana Police Department responded to the scene of a fatal crash involving a motorcycle on Friday, March 22nd. The crash took place just after 6:00 a.m. at the intersection of MacArthur Boulevard and Birch Street.
According to a preliminary investigation, a white sedan was at the intersection of MacArthur and Birch when the driver tried to make a left turn. As the driver turned, their car collided with an oncoming motorcycle that was traveling westbound on MacArthur. The motorcycle and car both suffered heavy damage in the crash. The rider, who has not been identified at this time, suffered critical injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the car cooperated with investigators. There were no additional injuries reported in the collision. Police are still investigating and it is unknown whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident. No further information has been released.
