Los Angeles, CA (April 27, 2024) – A car accident on Obama Boulevard left one person dead and three others injured on Saturday morning, April 27th. The accident happened just before 3:00 a.m. near the intersection with 6th Avenue.

According to a report from the scene, two cars collided with one another before striking a fire hydrant and a nearby home. The home caught fire after the accident. The Los Angeles Fire Department, along with police, were dispatched to the crash. One person was pronounced dead at the scene while a 30-year-old female, a 19-year-old female, and an 18-year-old male, were taken to the hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries. No one involved in the accident has been identified and the cause of the crash remains under investigation. The road was shut down while officials investigated. Motorists were asked to avoid the scene and find alternate routes of travel if possible. No further information has been released.
