Pomona, CA (April 21, 2024) – A pedestrian was killed in a crash that happened in Pomona early Sunday morning. The incident took place just after 1:30 a.m. at the intersection of Towne Avenue and Ninth Street.

Police received a report of a pedestrian who had been struck by a car. When they arrived, they found the victim suffering from major injuries. Life-saving measures were attempted but, ultimately, the victim died at the scene. The pedestrian has only been identified as a male, pending family notification. The driver fled the scene before officials could arrive. At this time, there is no word on a description of the vehicle or the suspect. The crash remains under investigation at this time. No further information has been released.
