Hollywood, CA (April 30, 2024) – Police in Hollywood responded to the scene of a fatal crash on Monday, April 29th. The incident took place just before 5:00 p.m. at the intersection of Santa Monica Boulevard and Gower Street.
According to a report from the area, a vehicle traveling westbound on Santa Monica Boulevard struck an LAPD patrol car. The patrol car then collided with a pedestrian who was crossing the intersection in a crosswalk. The pedestrian was pinned beneath the vehicle and was rushed to an area hospital where they succumbed to their injuries. The crash also involved two other vehicles. A total of six motorists were transported to area hospitals for treatment of undisclosed injuries. No one involved in the crash has been identified. The road was closed for several hours while officials investigated the accident and cleared the road. No further information has been released at this time.
