Los Angeles, CA (May 31, 2024) – A pedestrian was killed in a crash that took place in Los Angeles on Friday, May 31st. The crash occurred around 2:00 p.m. at the intersection of Long Beach Avenue and Vernon Avenue.

According to a report from the Los Angeles Fire Department, the pedestrian was struck by the Metro A Line train. When officials arrived, they pronounced the man dead at the scene. His identity has not been released. A total of 42 passengers were on board the train at the time of the crash but none of them reported injuries. There is no information on the events that led up to the crash. Police are still investigating at this time. No additional details are available.
