Lancaster, CA (June 9, 2024) – Police in Lancaster responded to the scene of a crash with injuries on Saturday, June 8. The collision occurred around 3:40 p.m. at the intersection of Avenue J and 20th Street East.

According to a report from the scene, a stolen Saturn SUV was being pursued by deputies. While fleeing, the SUV ran a red light and collided with a silver sedan, causing major damage to both vehicles. Two occupants of the sedan suffered non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the collision and were transported to a local hospital for treatment. The identities of the victims have not been released at this time. Charges are pending the outcome of an investigation. Currently, there is no additional information available.
