Placentia, CA (June 6, 2024) – Police in Placentia were dispatched to the scene of a fatal crash on Tuesday, June 4. The accident occurred just after 8:00 a.m. on Yorba Linda Boulevard, near the intersection with Valencia Avenue.
According to police, a 17-year-old student at El Dorado High School was driving one of the cars involved in the two-vehicle accident. Following the collision, the teen was trapped inside his car and had to be extricated by firefighters. Ultimately, he succumbed to his injuries at an area hospital. A 17-year-old passenger in the same vehicle was transported to the hospital with undisclosed injuries, while a 39-year-old woman and her two children in the other vehicle were transported with non-life-threatening injuries. There is no word on what caused the accident to occur at this time. The incident remains under investigation by local authorities.
