Arroyo Grande, CA (October 15, 2024) – A devastating house fire occurred on Monday, October 14, resulting in one fatality and another person injured. The fire was reported just after 6 p.m. in the 200 block of Spruce Street, near Ash Street, prompting a significant response from first responders and law enforcement.  

According to police reports, a man and a woman were inside the home at the time of the fire. Tragically, the man was found deceased with injuries consistent with both an assault and the fire itself. The woman sustained injuries from the assault and was transported to a local hospital; her current condition remains unknown. Emergency responders quickly controlled the situation, managing traffic and ensuring the safety of surrounding residents.
