Los Angeles, CA – Injury Pedestrian Crash on S Vermont Ave

Los Angeles, CA (January 14, 2025) – An injury pedestrian crash occurred on Monday, January 13, in the South Los Angeles area. The incident happened at approximately 5:25 p.m. at the 8702 block of South Vermont Avenue, according to a 911 report made shortly before emergency responders arrived. 

Emergency services, including firefighters and paramedics, were dispatched to the scene following the call. Authorities confirmed that the pedestrian sustained significant injuries due to the impact. The individual was stabilized at the scene and transported to a nearby hospital for further medical treatment. 

Traffic in the area was temporarily disrupted as firefighters secured the scene, assisted in clearing the roadway, and ensured public safety. Law enforcement officers managed the traffic flow and began an investigation into the circumstances of the crash.  

The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating whether factors such as speed, impairment, or other causes contributed to the incident.
