Inglewood, CA (March 9, 2025) – A shocking incident at an Inglewood car dealership left eight people injured on Saturday afternoon, March 8, after a man drove his vehicle through the showroom following a dispute with employees, police said.
The crash happened just after 2:00 p.m. at a CarMax located in the 8600 block of South La Cienega Boulevard. Authorities say the driver had been arguing with staff inside the dealership before storming out. Moments later, he returned behind the wheel of his vehicle, plowing through the showroom.
Video footage shared on social media shows panicked customers and employees scrambling to get out of the way as the vehicle crashed through the building. After driving through one side of the dealership, the suspect fled the scene.
Police reported that eight people were injured in the crash, including both customers and CarMax employees. Two victims suffered critical injuries and were transported to trauma centers for treatment. Fortunately, no fatalities were reported.
Following the crash, the suspect drove himself to the Los Angeles Police Department Recruit Training Center, where he turned himself in. Inglewood police are continuing to investigate.

Accidents involving vehicles striking pedestrians or bystanders inside businesses can result in devastating injuries. California sees a high number of pedestrian-related accidents each year, with thousands of incidents occurring in parking lots, sidewalks, and buildings. In situations like this, those injured may suffer long-term consequences.
Understanding common injuries in pedestrian-involved crashes highlights the dangers:

- Broken Bones – The impact of a vehicle hitting a person can cause fractures in the arms, legs, ribs, or pelvis, leading to long recovery times and possible surgeries.
- Spinal Cord Damage – Severe accidents may result in spinal cord injuries, which can lead to chronic pain, nerve damage, or even paralysis.
- Internal Injuries – Blunt force trauma from a crash can cause internal bleeding or organ damage, sometimes requiring emergency surgery.
- Soft Tissue Injuries – Sprains, torn ligaments, and deep bruising are common in pedestrian crashes and can lead to long-term pain and mobility issues.
