Los Angeles, CA – Child Killed Crash on Crenshaw Blvd

Los Angeles, CA (March 19, 2025) – A tragic hit-and-run crash occurred late Tuesday night in the Jefferson Park area of Los Angeles, resulting in the death of a 4-year-old boy. The incident was reported by the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) and happened at approximately 11:00 p.m. at the intersection of Crenshaw Blvd and Rodeo Pl.

According to the LAPD, a white Infiniti FX35 was speeding when the driver lost control and crashed into a building. Initially, the 36-year-old driver remained at the scene but fled shortly after. The passengers, including a 4-year-old boy, his mother, and another woman, were transported by ambulance to the hospital, where the child was later pronounced dead. The mother and the woman sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

The LAPD has confirmed that the child was not in a car seat at the time of the crash, and authorities are investigating whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the incident. Emergency crews, including firefighters, were involved in extracting the vehicles and controlling the scene, which led to traffic disruptions in the area.

Our deepest condolences go out to the family and loved ones affected by this devastating tragedy.
