Long Beach, CA – Fatal Semi-Truck Crash on Pier T Ave

Long Beach, CA (June 19, 2025) – A man died after a crash involving two semi-trucks on Wednesday, June 18.

The crash happened around 6:40 a.m. in the 2600 block of Pier T Ave. Officers arrived to find paramedics already giving aid to a man. Sadly, he died at the scene from his injuries.

Police say the man had pulled his truck to the side of the road and stepped out near the engine. A second semi-truck hit the back of his truck, pushing it forward. The impact knocked the man to the ground, and his own truck ran over him.

The second driver stayed at the scene and spoke with investigators. Police do not believe drugs, alcohol, or speed played a role.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner is holding back the man’s name until his family is notified.

The investigation remains open. Police urge anyone with information to contact the Long Beach Police Department. We send our heartfelt thoughts to the family and wish healing for everyone impacted by this tragic incident.
