After the initial collision, the 2014 Ford continued moving out of control and struck a southbound 2025 Toyota. Both surviving drivers sustained serious injuries in the crash. Paramedics provided emergency treatment at the scene before transporting the injured motorists to Antelope Valley Medical Center for further care.
Investigators noted that both injured drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the collision. The California Highway Patrol continues to examine the circumstances surrounding the crash as officials work to determine what caused the vehicles to collide.
