Long Beach, CA (March 24, 2024) – The Long Beach Police Department responded to the scene of a fatal incident on Friday, March 22nd. The collision was reported around 7:00 p.m. on 55th Way near the intersection with Paramount Boulevard.
According to a report, a 4-year-old girl attempted to cross the road when she was hit by a Ford F-150. The girl, who was not identified, was rushed to a local hospital but later succumbed to her injuries. The driver of the F-150 remained at the scene and spoke with authorities regarding the collision. Police do not believe that speeding or impairment played a role in the crash. There were no other injuries reported. The incident remains under investigation and there is no further information available.
