Westminster, CA (March 1, 2024) – A woman was killed in a bicycle crash that took place in Westminster on Thursday evening, February 29th. The crash happened just before 6:00 p.m. at the intersection of Brookhurst Street and Bolsa Avenue.
According to a report from the Westminster Police Department, the 60-year-old female bicyclist was riding an electric bicycle in the intersection when she was hit by a car. The Orange County Fire Authority responded to the scene and attempted lifesaving medical aid. The woman, however, succumbed to her injuries. The victim’s identity has not been released at this time. There is no word on how the accident occurred. The driver remained at the scene and spoke with police following the crash.
No additional information has been released. An investigation is ongoing.
