Alhambra, CA (March 2, 2024) – Police and rescue officials responded to the scene of an injury accident in Alhambra on Friday evening, March 1st. The collision was reported just after 6:00 p.m. at the intersection of West Commonwealth Avenue and South Palm Avenue.
When officials arrived, they found that a pedestrian had been struck by a car. Following the crash, the pedestrian became lodged beneath the vehicle and was trapped. Firefighters arrived at the scene and were able to free the trapped victim. The pedestrian was then placed into an ambulance and transported to a local hospital with a serious leg injury. At this time, there is no information on how the accident took place and the victim was not identified. The road was partially blocked while police and rescue officials investigated the crash. It is not known if any charges are expected to be filed. No further information has been released.
