Garden Grove, CA (April 3, 2024) – A motorcyclist died in a crash that took place in Garden Grove on Tuesday afternoon, April 2nd. The accident happened around 1:15 p.m. in the 1100 block of Western Avenue.
Officers with the Garden Grove Police Department responded to the accident scene. Details regarding the crash are limited but officers found a 56-year-old male motorcyclist lying unresponsive in the roadway when they arrived. The man’s motorcycle had collided with a garbage truck. The driver of the garbage truck remained on the scene. Police transported the rider to a local trauma center where he was pronounced dead due to his injuries. The man has not been identified. Neither alcohol nor drugs played a role in the crash. An investigation is ongoing. No further information has been released at this time.
