Long Beach, CA (August 10, 2026) – One person died Sunday, August 9, after a multi-vehicle collision shut down part of the southbound 710 Freeway in Long Beach.
The wreck happened just before 4 a.m. north of Long Beach Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Emergency units rushed the victim to a nearby hospital, where the person later lost their life.
Investigators have not yet said what caused the vehicles to strike one another, and the investigation remains active.
