San Diego, CA (August 11, 2024) – A 25-year-old woman was hospitalized with injuries considered life-threatening after she was ejected from a motorcycle in a crash in the La Jolla neighborhood on Friday, August 9, police said.
San Diego Police Department officers responded to a report of the crash at around 1:20 p.m. in the 2600 block of Torrey Pines Road. The woman was taken to a hospital with fractures to her legs, injuries to her torso, and internal bleeding requiring emergency surgery, Perales said. Police said alcohol was not a factor in the crash. It’s unclear how many vehicles or other injured victims were involved in the incident. However, an investigation surrounding the crash is ongoing, and further details will be released as the inquiry continues.
