Huntington Beach, CA (August 18, 2025) – A tragic collision involving three vehicles left one teen dead and several others injured on Sunday evening, August 17.
The crash happened just before 8:15 p.m. near the intersection of Edinger Avenue and Beach Boulevard. According to the Huntington Beach Police Department, a westbound Honda Accord driven by a 44-year-old Santa Ana woman crossed the center divider and struck a Lexus RX head-on. At some point, at least one of the vehicles also collided with a Lexus GS.
The driver of the Accord sustained major injuries and was transported to a local hospital. Authorities reported that impairment is suspected. Two passengers in the Honda, both 15-year-old girls, were also hurt. One teen, a Westminster resident, later died at the hospital. The other passenger is expected to recover. The drivers of the other vehicles, a 23-year-old woman from Westminster and a 75-year-old man from Santa Ana, suffered minor injuries.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the exact circumstances of the crash.
