Hit-and-Run Car Accidents in Los Angeles
Los Angeles has some of the busiest roads in the nation, where thousands of drivers travel daily.
Common causes of pedestrian accidents include:
- Speeding or aggressive driving in neighborhoods and intersections
- Texting or using a phone while driving
- Failing to yield at crosswalks
- Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
According to the California Office of Traffic Safety, hundreds of hit-and-run crashes happen in Los Angeles every year. Many result in severe injuries such as fractures, internal bleeding, or head trauma. Victims often face long hospital stays, emotional trauma, and heavy financial burdens.
Even when the driver escapes, victims still have legal options. California law allows injured drivers and passengers to seek compensation through their uninsured motorist coverage or other recovery options. A skilled car accident lawyer can investigate the crash, gather evidence, and fight for the compensation you deserve.
