Emergency units responded after receiving reports of the crash. When crews arrived, they found four people trapped inside one of the vehicles.

Crews freed the trapped passengers before paramedics provided medical attention at the scene. Four patients were transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital, while a fifth person declined hospital transport.

Officials have not released the genders, ages, or conditions of the victims. The investigation into the cause of the crash remains ongoing.

We wish the injured parties a full and steady recovery.

What Passengers Should Know After a Car Crash in Los Angeles

As a passenger in a car crash in Los Angeles, you may have the right to file your own injury claim regardless of which driver caused the collision. You are not responsible for either driver’s actions. Knowing your rights and next steps can help protect your health and your claim.

After a crash, your first priority should be medical care, even if your injuries seem minor. Some injuries from impact, entrapment, or sudden movement can appear hours or days later. A same-day visit creates a record that connects your condition to the crash.

When multiple passengers are hurt, each person has a separate claim with their own records and expenses. Your injuries, treatment, and losses are separate from those of other passengers or the driver. Keeping your documents organized can strengthen your case.

In California, passengers may file a claim against one or both drivers depending on fault. If your driver caused the crash, you may still file against that driver’s liability policy. Your relationship with the driver does not remove your right to seek compensation.

When insurers receive claims from multiple injured passengers, disputes over coverage can become more common. Each carrier may try to reduce its share of the payout. Medical records and legal guidance can help protect your claim.

A car accident lawyer can review the crash and explain what options may apply to you as a passenger. An attorney can also handle communication with insurance companies on your behalf. Legal guidance can also explain how California law protects injured passengers.
