Los Angeles, CA (May 29, 2026) – A motorcyclist was killed early Thursday morning, May 28, after a Freightliner Cascadia truck struck him during a left turn on Bradley Avenue in Sun Valley and fled the scene without stopping. The Los Angeles Police Department reported that the crash happened around 4:20 a.m.
Investigators said that a 64-year-old Edvard Gyulnazaryan of Glendale was driving the white 2017 Freightliner northbound on Bradley Avenue and turned left into a business when the motorcyclist attempted to pass. The motorcycle and the truck collided during the turn. Gyulnazaryan continued onto the business property without rendering aid or exchanging information as required by law.
Detectives identified both the vehicle and the driver during the investigation. Gyulnazaryan later returned to the scene and was taken into custody without incident. He was arrested on suspicion of felony hit-and-run causing death and booked into Van Nuys Jail.
The identity of the motorcyclist killed in the accident has not been released pending notification of the family. The investigation into the wreck remains active.
