How Is Fault Determined in a Multi-Vehicle Accident in East Hollywood, CA?
Fault in a multi-vehicle accident is typically determined by piecing together evidence from each vehicle involved, since a chain-reaction crash can have more than one contributing driver. Investigators look at vehicle positioning, point of impact, skid marks, and any available black box or traffic camera data to figure out which driver’s actions started the chain of events.
The stretch of the 101 runs through East Hollywood near that connects routes like the 170 Freeway and Hollywood Boulevard, an area that carries steady overnight traffic from commuters, rideshare drivers, and commercial vehicles moving through central Los Angeles.
People involved in rollover crashes usually experience injuries ranging from cuts and bruises to more serious harm like head trauma, spinal injuries, or broken bones, depending on how the vehicle rolled and how many times it was struck. Even passengers who decline transport at the scene can develop symptoms hours or days later, which makes follow-up medical care important after this type of crash.
In multi-vehicle crashes, more than one driver may share responsibility for what happened, and California follows a pure comparative negligence rule that allows fault to be divided among multiple parties based on each one’s level of responsibility.
