Pedestrian Injuries in Los Angeles: A Wake-Up Call for Drivers

Pedestrian accidents continue to be a significant issue in Los Angeles, a city known for its sprawling roadways and high traffic volumes. According to the California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS), Los Angeles consistently ranks as one of the most dangerous cities in the United States for pedestrians. In 2023, over 2,000 pedestrians were injured in traffic-related incidents, and nearly 300 pedestrian fatalities were recorded. This marks a sharp increase from previous years, with experts attributing the rise to both the growing number of vehicles on the road and the widespread issue of distracted driving.
