Hit-and-Run Accidents in Los Angeles
Hit-and-run accidents are a growing concern in Los Angeles.
These collisions can happen for many reasons. Speeding, distracted driving, and impaired driving remain leading causes. The mix of cars, cyclists, and pedestrians on crowded city streets increases the likelihood of dangerous encounters. Intersections and busy roadways, like Vanowen Street and Woodley Avenue, are often hotspots for serious incidents.
When drivers flee the scene, it’s often because they fear the consequences of staying. Some may be driving under the influence, have no valid license, or lack insurance. Others might have outstanding warrants or simply panic after causing harm. Regardless of the reason, leaving the scene of a crash is a crime that can cause lasting physical, emotional, and financial harm to victims.
When you or someone you love is hurt in a hit-and-run collision, the consequences can be overwhelming. You may be facing hospital bills, lost wages, ongoing medical treatment, and emotional distress.
