Los Angeles, CA – One Injured in Hit-and-Run at Vanowen St & Woodley Ave

Los Angeles, CA (August 9, 2025) – At least one person suffered injuries on Saturday, August 9, after a hit-and-run collision in the Lake Balboa neighborhood.

The incident occurred around 2:17 a.m. at the intersection of Vanowen Street and Woodley Avenue. According to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), an unknown vehicle struck one or more people and fled the scene before authorities arrived.

Emergency medical personnel responded and provided aid at the scene. The total number of injured individuals and the extent of their injuries have not yet been confirmed.

LAPD officials have not released a description of the suspect vehicle or the driver. Investigators are reviewing nearby surveillance footage to identify the person responsible.

The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information is urged to contact the authorities to assist in locating the driver.
