Los Angeles, CA (July 2, 2026) – On Wednesday, July 1, a pursuit ended in a fiery collision on 3rd Street in the Beverly Grove neighborhood, Los Angeles police said.
The chase began after a burglary was reported at a home on Sunset Place Drive in the Sunset Plaza neighborhood around 5:50 p.m. Officers said three people ran from the house and left in a white sedan, which prompted the chase.
The pursuit ended when the sedan struck a gray SUV in front of a gas station near 3rd Street and Robertson Boulevard. Video captured the fiery aftermath, which also damaged a nearby utility pole.
The three suspects ran from the wreckage and were later taken into custody. They face several charges, including burglary and felony evading, though their identities have not been released.
The SUV driver and the three suspects were all taken to a hospital and treated for minor injuries.
The investigation remains active.
