Santa Monica, CA (July 30, 2024) – A pedestrian was killed in a crash that took place in Santa Monica on Tuesday morning, July 30. The accident occurred around 2:30 a.m. on the Interstate 10 Freeway near the intersection with 4th Street.

According to a report from the California Highway Patrol, the pedestrian was struck by a car under unknown circumstances. Paramedics arrived and treated the victim for critical injuries but ultimately they succumbed to their injuries at the accident scene. The identity of the victim has not been released at this time, and there were no other injuries reported in the collision. Police closed the road while they investigated the crash and cleared the area.
