Hollywood, CA (January 23, 2025) – An injury pedestrian crash occurred on Tuesday evening in Hollywood, leaving the victim injured. The incident, reported by local authorities, occurred at approximately 8:59 p.m. at the intersection of Cory Ave and W Sunset Blvd.
According to the Hollywood Police Department, the woman was crossing the street when she was struck by a sedan traveling through the intersection. Emergency responders arrived shortly after the crash and were seen assisting the injured pedestrian. The woman, whose identity has not yet been released, was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
Firefighters were on the scene, assisting with traffic control and ensuring the safety of first responders. Authorities temporarily shut down lanes on W Sunset Blvd as they worked to clear the area and investigate the cause of the accident. The driver of the sedan remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
