Malibu, CA – Two Injured After Crash on Hovenweep Ln Near Saddle Peak Rd

Malibu, CA (April 15, 2026) – A serious car accident left at least two people injured on Tuesday afternoon, April 14, in the Santa Monica Mountains area of Malibu. The crash happened shortly before 4:30 p.m. in the 24000 block of Hovenweep Lane near Saddle Peak Road.

Emergency crews arrived and found a 2025 Porsche GT3 RS far off the roadway with heavy damage. The vehicle had traveled hundreds of yards from the road before coming to rest near a home.

The Los Angeles Police Department said two to three people were inside the Porsche at the time of the crash. Responders confirmed that no one was trapped inside the vehicle after the impact, though at least two occupants suffered injuries.

Paramedics transported the injured individuals by ambulance to a nearby helipad. Helicopters then airlifted both patients to a hospital for further treatment.

Aerial footage showed the damaged sports car near a residential property. Another vehicle, believed to be a BMW M5, was seen parked nearby along with additional vehicles in the area.

Officials have not released details about what caused the accident or the condition of those injured. Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash.

We extend our thoughts to those hurt and wish them a full recovery.

How Can a Police Report Help My Injury Claim in California?

A police report can provide key details that support an injury claim after a crash in California. It often includes facts about the scene, statements from those involved, and an officer’s observations, which can help explain how the accident happened.

These reports usually document important information such as vehicle positions, road conditions, and any visible damage. Officers may also note traffic violations or contributing factors. In many cases, insurance companies review police reports early in the claims process to better understand fault and liability.

Injury crashes can lead to a wide range of medical concerns. People may experience pain right away or notice symptoms later, such as headaches or back issues. Medical records work alongside police reports to show how injuries connect to the accident and how treatment progresses over time.

car accident lawyer can review a police report and explain how it may apply to a claim.
