Silverado Canyon, CA (March 11, 2024) – Two people were killed in a head-on car accident in Silverado Canyon on Saturday, March 9th. The accident happened around 9:00 p.m. on Santiago Canyon Road near Limestone Spur Road.
According to a report from the California Highway Patrol, a 24-year-old man from La Habra was driving a 2018 Ford the wrong way on Santiago Canyon Road. The Ford collided head-on with a 1993 Toyota. The La Habra man and the driver of the Toyota, a man from Santa Ana, both succumbed to their injuries from the crash. There were no other occupants in either of the cars and neither of the victims have been identified at this time. Police believe that alcohol may have played a role in the crash. The accident remains under investigation at this time. There is no further information available.
