Orange County, CA – Motorist Killed While Fixing Vehicle near Green River Dr.

Orange County, CA (April 1, 2024) – A motorist was killed while trying to fix a disabled vehicle on a highway in Orange County. The crash was reported early Monday morning on the 91 Freeway near Green River Drive.

According to a report from the California Highway Patrol, the motorist stopped on the westbound shoulder of the road and began working on their vehicle. Another driver traveling on the 91 Freeway lost control of their car and crashed into the disabled vehicle. The driver of the disabled vehicle was thrown into the roadway and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the second car was not injured in the accident. All westbound lanes of the road were closed following the collision. No one involved in the accident has been identified at this time. An investigation remains ongoing and there is no further information available.
