Colton, CA (March 20, 2024) – A multi-car accident took place in Colton on Wednesday, March 20th. The crash occurred just after 9:00 a.m. in the westbound lanes of the Interstate 10 Freeway.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a gray Kia Soul, a gray Mercedes Benz, a black Chevrolet Dar, a silver GMC SUV and a silver Ford F-150 were all involved in the accident. Police say that an Amazon truck stopped abruptly and was struck by a vehicle traveling behind it, setting off a chain reaction collision. Multiple motorists were transported from the scene for treatment of undisclosed injuries. No one involved in the accident was identified. Officials are still investigating and have not said whether any charges are expected to be filed. An investigation is ongoing.
