Long Beach, CA (June 15, 2024) – A bicyclist lost their life in a crash near California State University on Friday morning, June 14th. The accident happened just after 5:00 a.m., at the intersection of 7th Street and Campus Drive.
When police arrived on the scene, they found a man lying unconscious along the sidewalk. After an investigation, it was revealed that the victim was riding a bicycle on 7th Street when a car struck the rider from behind. The victim, who was not identified, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the car remained on the scene and spoke with police following the incident. No additional injuries were reported and the driver’s identity has not been released. An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
