Huntington Beach, CA (April 28, 2026) – A 70-year-old bicyclist died on Monday, April 27, after a vehicle struck him near Pacific Coast Highway just north of Newland Street in Huntington Beach. The crash was reported around 11:50 a.m. and involved a white Subaru Impreza and the cyclist.

The Huntington Beach Police Department arrived and found the victim unconscious in the roadway. Paramedics responded but pronounced the man dead at the scene.

Investigators say the bicyclist was traveling southbound on Pacific Coast Highway before merging into traffic and attempting to turn east onto Newland Street when the collision occurred. The Subaru was also traveling southbound on PCH at the time of the crash.

The 20-year-old Huntington Beach driver of the Subaru remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

Encino, CA (April 25, 2026) – A multi-vehicle crash on the 101 Freeway in Encino claimed the life of a 19-year-old man on Saturday, April 25.
