Los Angeles, CA (March 12, 2025) – A two-car collision occurred on Wednesday morning in Culver City, resulting in the hospitalization of a woman and injuries to a man. The accident happened just before 8:30 a.m. at the intersection of Barman St and Elenda St, near Culver City High School.
According to the Culver City Police Department, a Volvo SUV traveling east on Barman St collided with a Volkswagen SUV heading north on Elenda St. The impact caused the Volvo to overturn, trapping the female occupant inside. Culver City Fire Department personnel responded promptly, extracting the woman from the overturned vehicle.
Emergency medical services transported the injured woman to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A child who was also in the Volvo did not sustain any injuries. Meanwhile, the male occupant of the Volkswagen SUV suffered minor injuries but did not require hospitalization.
Authorities temporarily closed traffic around the intersection to conduct a thorough investigation and clear the wreckage. The crash remains under investigation, and officers are working to determine the circumstances leading up to the collision.
